WRITING

I am one of the lead writers and the assistant producer of The Naked Week, BBC Radio 4's new flagship topical comedy show. 

So far we have, on air:

• planned the invasion of Nuneaton
• hosted a seance
• bought some land in Scotland
• shouted at a dog
• and radicalised some school children

To quote The Radio Times, "the BBC Lawyers are going to be busy". It has been a dream job and I have loved every single second.

I am currently writing on Frank Skinner's brand new panel show, One Person Found This Helpful!

Series 1 was described in the press as "a triumph", "a panel show that could run and run" and series 2 is on air at the moment. It is a complete and utter joy to work on and I have had a ball. 

I have been relentlessly trying to get Sex And The City 2 on the film round, to no avail as of yet.

I wrote and produced the 10-part documentary series 'Marco Pantani: Death of a Pirate' for BBC Sounds and BBC 5 Live, about the tragic Italian cyclist Marco Pantani. The show went straight to #1, and was described as "superbly insightful... gripping stuff" by The Times, "meticulously told... a vivid picture" by The Radio Times, and "surprisingly good" (paraphrase) by The Grauniad. The show was shortlisted for 'Best Documentary' at the 2024 NYF Awards, and I was nominated for 'Best Sports Producer' at the 2023 Audio Production Awards.

I have been a commissioned writer on BBC Radio 4's multi-award-winning The Skewer for 7 series (and a writer for 10). In my time as a staff writer, we have won the Radio Academy Award for Best Comedy 3 times, as well as the NYF Award, BBC Audio Drama Award and Audio Production Award for Best Comedy, and been nominated for a BAFTA. One of my sketches for The Skewer was chosen by Richard Curtis for the BBC's Pick of the Year 2022. I also wrote for the TV adaptation The Skewer: Three Twisted Years.
